See You, Soon
I read a poem that reminded me of you,
And I wondered,
If my words would ever
Sound
As good
As you taste,
after a spell of time without
you
near my tongue,
Or my arms,
Or my eyes.
You and your sensations,
in a dance with mine,
how I hope to catch the sound of it,
the honeyed-hum that rings inside me
when we’re back as one,
And I’m near your tongue,
your arms,
Your eyes.
